About

Pamela Livingston writes in several genres, holding both a MFA in Writing for Children and Young Adults and a Picture Book certificate from Vermont College of Fine Arts, along with a MA in Creative Writing. As Mama Goose of Goosebottom Bookscropped-pamela-livingston-scarf.jpg, her publishing house is devoted to creating high quality historical works of under-represented voices for young readers. Her articles and poetry have been published in newspapers and online, and she’s been a reader for Hunger Mountain Literary Journal since 2012. Having been the buyer/manager of an independent bookstore and member of the ABA, Pamela holds a deep appreciation for the book business. Now a Literary Consultant with famed Book Passage in the San Francisco Bay Area, Pamela runs their Path to Publishing program and directs their annual Children’s Writers Conference. As an Adjunct  Professor of Children’s Literature at Dominican University of California, she’s worked with education students on the application of literature in the classroom and is an active member of SCBWI. It was Pamela’s national and international award winning research and academic journal publications in art history which propelled her first creative writing project for young audiences and many of the stories that have flowed since.
